Jim and Carin

Jim and Carin have worked in NYC since 2013 equipping 1st and 2nd generation immigrant families with educational resources and support.  When moving to New York with their son, Nathan, their vision was to impact the city and immigrant communities with the love of Christ.

Having established a local non-profit, Hillside Center for Education, Carin and Jim have been able to offer after-school tutoring and professional development while reflecting the love of Christ for all people.  Hillside Center imagines a future where all immigrant families are thriving and empowered to pursue their dreams. 

Prior to moving to NYC, Jim, Carin, and Nathan lived in Eastern Europe for many years supporting churches and developing communities through English language. Jim is ordained and a member of Metropolitan NY Presbytery (PCA).
